Instructions
URL Parameter Parser Instructions\n\n## Overview\nBreak a full web address down so you can see it clearly: what the protocol is, whether the domain and port are right, what the path is, and which query parameters it carries. Handy for API debugging, troubleshooting redirects and cleaning up shared links.\n\n## How to Use\n1. Paste the full URL into the input box (remember to include `https://`)\n2. The page immediately splits it into six parts: protocol, host, port, path, query string and anchor\n3. The parameter table below lists each parameter name, its decoded value and its raw encoded value, with tracking parameters highlighted\n4. Click "Regenerate without tracking parameters" to strip marketing parameters such as utm_source, gclid and fbclid\n5. Click "Copy clean link" to copy the cleaned URL\n\n## Notes\n- This only parses text and does not visit the URL; the link is never sent to a server\n- If the same parameter name appears multiple times, the values are merged and shown separated by commas\n- The tracking parameter list covers the common ones (the utm family, gclid, fbclid, msclkid, spm, etc.). After cleaning, please confirm yourself that no useful parameters were removed
FAQ
Why did my link fail to parse?
The most common reason is a missing protocol. Add http:// or https:// and try again, for example write www.example.com as https://www.example.com.
Will removing tracking parameters stop the link from opening properly?
No. Parameters like the utm family, gclid and fbclid are only used to track sources and have nothing to do with page content. But if a site uses custom parameters for authentication or business logic, check them yourself before using the cleaned result.
What do the percent signs in parameter values mean?
Characters such as spaces and non-English text must be escaped in a URL, for example a space is written as %20. The parameter table shows both the decoded value and the raw encoded value so you can compare them.
